Michael Hornblow - tablet
tablet… a small block of wood for posting photos of our lost loves, a tabletop theatre of gestures, a cake of soap for washing our animals, a tablet for pharming the self… for writing on, from and through the body. The post-human gargoyle tunnels through the urban brain, an embodied architecture of mind where ornament, vantage point and drainage combine to become a wet flesh machine spouting the existential terror of life on the edge. Caught in the liminal zone between endless striving and a state of exhaustion, we feel the unbearable Outside in the depths of our interior, like the gargoyle teetering on a threshold… Performance art, dance, video projections, surround sound, architectural installation.
